The opportunity to be a pioneer, made me sign up for Salvador's first Marathon. A real challange considering the tropical climate!
With only some few training sessions, I faced the 42K. Maybe not the best preperation... The first half was actually very good, since the Marathon started at 7 am. I thought I could stay under 4 hours. But after 25K each step got harder and harder. The temperature raised over 30C and my head was burning. The last 10K I spend more time walking than running. At least I made it and crossed the finishline!
I came in as 28. from 38 in my age group 35-39 and as 187. from 320 men.
